Mediterranean Beauty Tips
Foundation colors for you.

What we've decided to do is to have actual color swatches that match your skin tone. In general, Mediterranean skin has a natural olive hue with some undertones that are yellow. This combination might make your skin appear a little gray. Try foundation colors with a more yellow or golden tone.

Remember, some areas of the face tend to be lighter than the rest. What color foundation do you choose, the lighter or the darker? The common tendency is to go with the lighter; the oils of our skin tend to darken any product we apply to our face.

If you want to accentuate the golden tones in your skin, then reach for the darker shade. Be careful here not to go too dark. Because we are very aware of the damage the sun can cause, many of us keep our face out of the sun. This often leads to your body being darker than your face.

Quick Tip: The next time you go to the makeup department, try one shade that is the lighter one on one side of the face and the darker on the other side. Let it sit for a while and then come back to the counter to see which one looks the most natural.

Like most of us that need to use concealer to cover dark circles or unwanted spots, look for a color that has more peach or orange. This will balance the purples or dark spots that we want to cover.

These swatches are a good starting point for you in determining what colors work for that Mediterranean beauty.

Bring a friend that will be honest with you and have fun with it!

Bronzers:

For those who want to have that sun kissed look all year round, try using a bronzer. Start at the temple of eye and gently stroke down to the cheeks. Choose a bronzer that is not too orange.

Another option is to blend a little liquid bronzer into your liquid foundation….but not all over the face. Just in areas that the sun would bronze first; like the apple of the cheeks and the forehead
