I know many of us have a love-hate relationship with the idea of foundation. Think of it this way…..when an artist starts a painting, she starts with a blank canvas and then adds color to create her masterpiece. The same goes for the purpose of foundation……..hence the name, “foundation”.

Just like everything else in nature, our skin color has many tones of color within itself. Beige, red, yellow, brown and olive…just to name a few. So how do you know what shade will fit you best? To cater to this specific question, we decided it would be easier to break it down to your specific skin tone.

There are so many different types of foundation to choose from. Do you go with cream, liquid, whipped, or powder? What about a simple tinted moisturizer? This doesn't need to be a challenge!!

We believe strongly in visuals. If you can see it being done, then you should be able to duplicate it "with practice of course". So enjoy all the videos that we will have posted (over the next couple of months) and develop your own makeup routine.
What makeup brushes should we use?
A cautionary tale: You can follow all the "how to apply" directions to the letter...you can buy all the top brands of cosmetics...but without the proper tools, you will get frustrated with putting on makeup. It just won't feel or seem right. Other top beauty sites will only echo what is being said here.
