Eye Beauty Tips
"Where do you begin?

So many colors, so many choices!!! There are many different techniques in applying eyeshadow. Makeup Tools are what will make any application easier and well blended.

These are the most frequently asked questions that I've gotten:

What's the best color for my skin tone?
Techniques on how to apply eye makeup.
Other Topics: False Lashes? Mascara? Smokey Eyes? and more!!
What makeup brushes should I use?

There are many sayings that I know we've all heard. "The eyes are the mirrors to your soul" and "your eyes gave it away" are just a couple them. For me, the expressions that come from the eyes says a lot about a person. Are they confident? Inviting? or There's something a little off? Makeup can have a powerful effect on the eyes, when done properly.

I hope you enjoy some of these eye beauty tips and that this helps you be that beautiful confident woman that you were born to be!!!

Makeup Application Tips - How to apply eye makeup?

Quick Basic Eye Makeup Application Techniques

Soft & Natural Eyes:

Light color on lid (Flat shading brush).
    Darker color in crease(Blending brush).
Use a powder eyeshadow to line the eye for a softer look.
If you use a pencil, go over the line with the Pencil Brush to blend.

Just a little more…..: This one you do a few ways.

    Light color on lid
    Medium color in crease
Dark shade blended in the outer corner of the eye.
Line your eyes with pencil and blend with a pencil brush.

Quick Tip 1: You can line under the eyes for a more dramatic look.

Quick Tip 2: A little trick to open up your eyes a little is to apply a small amount of light eyeshadow (Bobbi Brown Apricot Bronzer) in the inner corner of the eye. The key to applying multiple shades is the make sure everything is blended well and to apply in stages.

Smokey Eyes: There are many variations of the smokey eye.

Use any dark shade on the lid.
Then use a different medium shade to blend in the crease.
Highlight under the brow with a lighter shade.

Caution: Be careful not to have any harsh lines.

Quick Tip: Line your eyes with a black shadow or pencil and then apply mascara. For a more smokey eye, line your lower lid with brown or black pencil. Then try using the pencil brush to blend the color you used on your upper lid together with the pencil.

Eyepencils:
There are kohl pencils which are easier to blend when going for a smokier eye. Use an eyeshadow to blend it out.Use a regular pencil when you want something a little softer. There are also waterproof versions which work great when you want your makeup to last through tears or the pool.Keep your pencil sharpened to achieve the best results. Cream/Liquid Liner:
There are several tricks to apply cream/liquid liner. My favorite is to look down into a mirror instead of trying to look straight on into your mirror. I like starting from the outer corner and working my way into the inner corner. Try different ways that seem comfortable to you. This is one area where you just need to practice a lot.

Cream/liquid liner looks the best when it is applied only on the top lid. Smudge a softer shadow color under the eye using either the Angled Brush or Pencil Brush.
